To make information content easier to consume, dpa has developed interactive web graphics which are offered in the shop.

Web graphics are primarily characterised by two important features which make their implementation meaningful:

- Their production is associated with a high level of effort. By integrating dpa web graphics, publishers save valuable resources in their daily work and offer their readers the opportunity to consume content interactively.
- The web graphics are responsive. They are therefore optimized for both desktop and mobile devices and adapt to the respective format.

They also offer some significant advantages over conventional print graphics:

- Print graphics are often characterized by a particularly high density of information and show a lot of images and text in very often very small spaces.
- Interactive web graphics equalize this information density and make information selectively accessible through navigability.
All in all, a web graphic is more accessible, more comprehensible and therefore more effective for the user.

Examples: How an electric motorway works; When the sun burns; Formula 1: Austrian Grand Prix

Animation and interactivity

Where appropriate, content statements are supported by animations:

This is how a lunar eclipse occurs; 75 years ago: Bombing of the Möhne dam

Interactivity through filtering and sorting of content supports content statements, or creates a completely new view of the graphics and thus of the subject matter dealt with:

Formula 1: A comparison between Hamilton and Vettel; The Windchill Effect Calculator; Living in Germany
